WHO WILL BE THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR?

Happy to report that season five of the Next Food Network Star kicks off June 7th.

With four contestants from LaLaland, it would seem California cuisine is in this season.

Sadly, there isn't much diversity in this bunch -- the majority are white, though we've got a Korean-American celeb caterer and an African-American personal chef whose specialty is Caribbean cuisine.

Oddly, it seems the network is hoping to cash in on the popularity of last season's quirky-cute runner-up Adam Gertler -- two of the All-American male finalists, Brett and Eddie, are totally working an Adam vibe, at least from their photos.
